Yeadon, Pa on November 1st 2020 Brothers from Omicron Mu Nu Mu, Mu Omega, and Zeta Iota Iota handed out campaign flyers through high winds and rain to help mobelize voters for the Biden Harris ticket. Throughout the months of October and November Omicron Mu Nu brothers also participated in multiple voter registration campaigns.
The effort was important because while Biden lead in many polls, lingering questions remained about the commitment of his supporters to actually vote. To defeat Trump, Democrats needed strong turnout from every piece of his broad coalition, including groups that typically don’t vote in large numbers, such as younger Americans and African Americans.
When history reflects on the results of the historic win that has placed the first African American woman and Alpha Kappa Alpha member in the White House brothers of Omicron Mu Nu will be able to say with pride that they played a small but key role in making the long sought dream a reality.
